If you’re a fan of reggae and Pacific-style good vibes, save the date: the Hawaiian band Maoli is coming to Tahiti as part of their “Last Sip of Summer” world tour. A unique evening awaits you on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 7:30 p.m., on the legendary To’ata stage in Papeete.
A sound straight from Hawaii
The band Maoli, led by the legendary Glenn Awong, takes you on a musical journey between reggae, soul, R&B, country, acoustic rock, and rock & roll. A powerful and gentle mix at the same time, which is sometimes called country reggae—a music of the heart, about love, islands, and identity.
Born in Hawaii in 2007, Maoli has conquered stages across the Pacific—from Australia to the United States—and is now preparing to rock To’ata for the very first time.
A historic first in Fenua
This concert is more than a show: it’s an encounter. A communion between a music deeply rooted in the island’s culture and an audience that has been waiting for it for a long time.
Imagine : the sky of Papeete, the lights of To’ata, the heat of the night, and the voices that rise up to sing together refrains that come from elsewhere but which resonate here, at home.
🎶 Their Music ?
It’s a breath of fresh air, a surge of the heart. Sincere, comforting, vibrant. Songs that make you dance as much as they touch you. Stories of roots and emotions carried by sunny rhythms.
A sound that takes you by the hand and takes you far away, without leaving the fenua.
