Here, beer is not just a drink. It is a pretext to get together, toast to friendship, dance under the stars, laugh until dawn. In Polynesia, it is part of the party, this celebration where the ukulele vibrates as much as the hearts, and where we share a very fresh shell very cool, feet in the sand..

It’sHinano who is called first. The icon. The vahine of the fenua, fresh and golden like a sunset. And then there are the newcomers, those who add their grain of salt to the party, those who tell another story.

And if you really want to taste the spirit of the islands, let yourself be carried away by two local breweries that will make your drinks and your evenings sparkle: HOA and Les 3 Brasseurs. Each one has its own style, its own story, its own music. It’s up to you to choose your own tempo.

🌺 Hinano – The fenua icon

HINANO

You’ll recognize her at first glance. This vahine in a red sarong, designed by Peter Heyman, has become an icon. Since 1955, Hinano, it’s the Polynesian beer par excellence. Golden, light (5%), perfect in the sun, it also comes in white, amber or gold versions.

Here, we don’t order “a Hinano,” we ask for “a shell.” And if you want to know everything, Hinano, it is also the name of a small white flower with a subtle fragrance, that of the fara (pandanus). A flower, a legend, a drink.
Snacking is almost a ceremony. Even better at sunset, facing the lagoon.

🎶 HOA – The beer of friends

HOA

HOA, it means “friend” in Tahitian. And it’s all in the name. The story begins with three friends – Guillaume, Thomas et Marine – unis par l’envie de créer une brasserie qui leur ressemble : authentique, festive, locale.

Since 2020, their microbrewery in Papeete has been delighting taste buds with original beers, carefully brewed on-site. Water, malt, hops, yeast… and sometimes a touch of spice for a surprising twist.

Their logo? A ukulele. Because here, music is part of the DNA. And the brewery isn’t just a production site, it’s a real place to live, where concerts, exhibitions and open stages punctuate the evenings.

And if you’re curious, you can even go behind the scenes, meet the brewers, learn the secrets of brewing… and finish with a delicious tasting. Because yes, at HOA, we’re here to enjoy.

🎤 Les 3 Brasseurs – The pioneer of the craft scene

3B OK

It’s the oldest of Tahiti’s craft breweries, and it hasn’t aged a day. Since 1998, The 3 Brasseurs brew unfiltered, unpasteurized beers on site, in a friendly and generous atmosphere.

Blonde, white, amber, brown… there’s something for everyone. And when it comes to ambiance, we’re served: live concerts on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and a menu that makes you want to extend your aperitif until the last note.

The good plan? The Black Monday : 50% off a selection of beers and cocktails every Monday. A great excuse to start the week off right.

The 3Bs are a bit like a well-oiled party: you go there to drink, but you stay for the atmosphere.
