1.1. The Golf of Tahiti – Atimaono, Tahiti
Welcome to Polynesia’s oldest golf course, nestled in the town of Papara, 41 km from Papeete. If you enjoy places steeped in history and lush greenery, you’ll love the atmosphere of Atimaono Golf Course. Created in the 1970s, this course stretches across a former cotton plantation spanning over 70 hectares, nestled between mountains and coconut trees.
You can play it on:
– A compact 9-hole course, perfect if you’re a beginner or looking for a quick round
– A more technical 18-hole course, to challenge your game if you’re used to the green
On site, you’ll also find a driving range, a clubhouse, and a friendly atmosphere fostered by the club’s 180 members (as of 2023). Competitions such as the Tahiti International Open are regularly held here.
👕 Outfit: polo shirt, shorts or sports pants, soft cleated shoes.
🚫 No jeans, jogging pants, flip-flops or beach shorts allowed.

2. Moorea Green Pearl Golf Course – Temae, Moorea
Just 5 minutes from Moorea Airport and 10 minutes from the ferry dock, the Green Pearl Golf Course is a gem not to be missed. This exceptional 18-hole course was designed by the legend Jack Nicklaus, in a postcard-perfect setting: a turquoise lagoon on one side, verdant mountains on the other.
Technical, immersive, and perfectly integrated into the landscape, this course appeals to both pros and beginners. Here, you’ll experience a complete golfing experience combining sport, nature, and relaxation.
You will find there:
– A spectacular 18-hole course, accessible to all levels
– A water driving range for a gentle warm-up
– A Pro Shop with top brands (Srixon, Titleist, Callaway, etc.)
– A clubhouse restaurant, open Wednesday to Sunday (11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.)
– A golf academy, ideal for beginners or introducing younger players to the game
